Our history

“You can see your own face in the water, but in the wine, you can see someone else’s heart.” This pretty French proverb could be written in the plural. Plural because the Dubois estate produces no less than 23 different appellations. So many wines in which express the magic of the great clay-limestone terroirs of Burgundy. Plural also because they are two today, to manage the estate: Béatrice and Raphaël. They are the 11th generation of winemakers in the family. They work together since 2006, each bringing their own sensitivity. They followed common paths, both obtained a BTS in Viticulture-Oenology, but also explored different paths. Beatrice passing the National Diploma of Oenology and Raphael completing his training at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Dijon. Raphaël returned to the estate in 1993, while Béatrice divided her time between the southern hemisphere (Australia, New Zealand, Chile and South Africa) and the northern hemisphere, with winemaking in September at the Domaine. She thus acquired new skills that she implemented in the Domain full-time from 2006. Whether you are from the area or passing by, come and discover some of our 23 appellations ranging from Chambolle-Musigny to Volnay and declining on the 4 levels of appellation. We will be happy to welcome you just like our grandfather already did!
